Heyyy  This was the next prompt: There are three children sitting on a log near a stream. A shadow glides over them. One of them looks up at the sky and says… My Response: "Sure is dark out." One of the girls looked at him and responded, "Nuh, uh silly! Its just the clouds." The boy looked at her dumbfounded. "That's what I'm saying.... Its dark because of the clouds." The other girl continued to stare out into space, wondering when she could escape from her parents ideaologies and misunderstandings in life. Now my response was really short, but I made my teacher laugh, and I hope you enjoy it as well. What would you have written about this prompt? |

I'll do a continuation:
The first girl looked over at the other girl and shook her shoulder. "Lacy, you okay? You look like your about to fall in the stream..." the girl trailed off, concerned. "Oh," Lacy snapped out of it. "Yes, I'm okay Vidia. I was just thinking..." she trailed off. The boy looked over "Your parents still trying to force you to go to privet school?" he asked, frowning. "Ya.." she bit her lip "Dylan, you and Vidia are lucky.." she crossed her arms. "At least your parents love you..mine want me to be a robot.." she sighed frustrated.
"That's not true," Vidia interrupted "I'm sure your parents love you!". " I guess...but...the school is just plain creepy! And they won't listen to what I have to say.." Lacy trailed off again. "What do you mean...creepy?" Dylan gave a puzzled look. "I mean creepy! Haunted creepy. When my parents brought me over there to look at the place..." she shivered. Fear became creeping up and consuming her. "When my parents...they left..to talk to her! In her office..." her voice smothered getting quiet. "I heard it" she barley could speak. Her words getting stock in her throat.
"Heard what?" Vidias' eyes grew wider leaning into her brother. "Screaming.." Lacy whispered 'Then banging...that's when everyone got quiet again..." she cried.The tears streaming down her cheeks. "I can't go there..I just can't..."
"Not alone," Dylan began and stood up "We are going to check it out...tonight." "Excuse me?" the girls replied in unison. Looking at him as if he lost his mind, and his head. "Do you want to find out what's going on in there or not?" he asked. "If your being forced to go in there...we could stop what is ever there. Or at least find proof so your parents don't force you to go." he argued. "I don't know.." Lacy trailed off. "It will be fine," he began "You are sleeping over tonight so that's the only time we can check it out. It's nearby right?".
"It is..but it's in the woods.." Lucy shivered. "What if we get caught" Vida asked her brother. "We won't get caught" Dylan assured them. "We'll go when mom and dad is asleep; alright?" Lucy hesitated and looked at her friends. She took a breath "Alright...".
After a few hours, they headed to Dylan and Vidas home for dinner, and to secretly get ready.
