Ponder This #8

[Neorthra]

Hii!!! This was the next prompt I was given:

You’re searching through your closet and find an old stuffed animal or doll from your childhood. It starts to bring back a warm memory of a specific night that’s near and dear to your heart. Suddenly, your stuffed companion begins to talk and says, “There’s something you need to know about that night.” Write this scene.

My Response:

Startled, I jump back, denying that the toy talked to me.

"My voice is as real as the shirt that you grip."

"So it is true.... what do you want to tel me about that night?"

"You put something valuable in a box inside of your bed. You forgot where it was. Its a part of your heritage and who you are. Reclaim it."

I searched around my bed, and felt an unfamiliar fold in its texture. I stuck my hand in, rummaging for a box of some sort. I was surprised when I felt a box. I pulled it out, and could see a pale glow coming from it. His words echoed in my head.

"Reclaim it."

This time, I challenge you to finish my story . Or if you feel you could have done something differently, what would you have written?

I slowly began to open the box, both curious and scared of what may be hidden within.
As I opened it, a bright light flashed. Once I regained awareness, I found myself in a large field.
As I looked up I saw a small girl, she had a look of anxiety on her face. I slowly walked up to her and began to talk.

"Hello, where am I? What is this place?"

"I am the life you once had, and this is where the story begins."

Sorry Neo, I kinda made the story longer lol. But anyone else who wants, feel free to end it.

lol yup! WE get prompts whenever class starts, then we go into other stuff like formal papers It's awesome. I'm like the class clown in his class.. @o@

first, it's a prompt to write on and not really something to learn more about. I don't think I'm sure on what your asking. Each of the threads in the Ponder series gives one a prompt to finish for fun.
