The War Between Supernaturals

In the beginning, there were people and part of the population was supernaturals, we were shunned and wrote about in mythology and lore. We were hunted and feared, but there were indeed times of peace and not just fighting. The war was started a long time ago, and seems to never have really stopped in my eyes, but recently this volcano has been more active and even though it laid dormant for a while, unfortunately it isn't anymore, and it is certainly not anything we can ignore. If you have questions you can ask and I will post it here; I know a lot of people don't even know about the war, so I will start with a few basic questions that all of you might ask:

Q: Who is involved in the war?
A: Everyone, all supernaturals and some humans on the side.

Q: What started the war?
A: If you are talking about the current civil unrest then it is because some of our kind wish to bring our existence to the forefront of the world again and show lore and mythology is real because it would help in the war in Iraq, would help the military overall, would help science learn more about diseases and cures, or we just want to show that we are out there, along with many other reasons, these just being a few. Others say no and we want to keep our being sacred and private, for a few reasons. One may be the few purebloods left want to keep it that way, second may be if humans know they will either be afraid, shun us, or treat us like lab rats, or even third, humans will want to be turned and we do not want to mix with humans because our power is already dwindling and we are the more advanced race, and these are just a few reasons as well.

Q: Where is this war?
A: Mostly, the astral realm. Recently, during this night on Samhain have you felt unrest? Dark feelings? Anger? Anything? It is your supernatural sixth sense tingling! The fighting is going on around you. Sure, some people fight in the physical realm, but it is not as common and not as bloody.

but how does your kind propose to bring existence to common knowledge of man, i mean, in what ways?

are those who do not want this more powerful than those who do? are they more in number than those who do want to be open about this existence? from a human standpoint, it would seem so, because why otherwise has this not happened yet?

how could it? i wish it would, however, what are the guarantees for the safety of those who come forward from those who would otherwise harm their for their own misuse and cruel scientific experiments?

Our kind, they mostly seem to be ignorant with it and just blurt it out that we exist to others, I am sure there are a thousand ways to do it. It is just the choice of who does it and how. That I am not one hundred percent positive on, and I'm sure the answers will come soon.

The numbers seem equal when you step back to look. Personally, I would rather keep in the dark and keep our secret safe to preserve tradition and safety from things such as banishment and death, or shunning from society. Those who do not want it are not necessarily more powerful, it is just a way of thinking. Same as people are in different political parties, though Republicans are more wealthy than the Democrats sometimes, but sometimes it is the other way around as well. I, myself am powerful, but I am not thinking this way because I want to keep my power or anything of the sort, but because I know the consequences and I try to help others understand before they jump into something. People don't always think, there are hunters to deal with too. I guess you would have to speak to the higher-ups, which I don't know anyone that has. All I know is that if you step out of line and make a huge show of yourself that hunters step in to control the problem.

The guarantees I have no idea about. That is also something that I guess would need to be seen in the future, because it all depends on what happens, I guess.

I feel we should keep it secret, until the day we are needed I know there are hunters out there but as long as we don't do anything to be found out then we will be fine. The war might just go on forever.

I rather keep it to myself, humans are not ready for it, the government have said it and they are kinda right "You cant handle the truth" and humans are so judgemental!
